Stuck for iPledge Ideas?

Here is a list of some of the ideas that other people have come up with. Contact us for more information or if you have an idea that you need help with

Volunteer some of your time
We need volunteers to pledge some of their time for events such as the annual Leamington Spa Peace Festival (13 and 14 June 2009), where we will have a stall. Are you free to help out?

Sell some BKIT Cards
We have packs of BKIT cards, incorporating 16 of Gilly Mundy's photographs, that are available in packs of six costing £5 a pack. They are ideal for birthdays or religious events.

Why not pledge to sell 10 packs to your friends?

Sell on eBay
The Buwan Kothi International Trust is registered with eBay as a charity you can donate a percentage (between 10% and 100%) of any eBay sale to. Instructions are available here.

Organise a sponsored challenge
Pledge to organise a fundraising challenge and set a target for how much you hope to raise. Anyone wishing to do so can receive help from us in publicising and promoting their activity, whether it involves a run, cycling or other sporting event, or something wilder like a parachute jump.

And you can raise funds online with your own fundraising page - just click on the button below.

Promote a Pledge
You may not be up for cycling or running, but you can help someone who is by pledging to help them find five sponsors.

Or you could help to promote Maggie McGreevy's Memorial Trees project by sending information about it to your friends?

Is there somewhere you can leave flyers for someone's Pledge? Then pledge to get them copied and in a local shop, church, temple or newsagent's window.

Organise a School Toys and Books Sale
Now that the Gilly Mundy Memorial Community School has opened, the Trust is keen to develop closer links between children in the UK and Haryana.

If you are a parent or teacher, why not organise a sale of toys and books and then donate any money you raise to BKIT? We'd love to be able to send pictures of your event to the school in India.

Collected and recycle old mobile phones
You can pledge to collect a number of old mobile phones from friends and family and have them recycled - for every phone we receive £2. FREEPOST collection envelopes are now available - please contact us for more information.

Celebrating your birthday?
If your birthday is approaching, your friends and family members are asking you for gift ideas and you're struggling to think of anything they can afford (so no Porsche or holiday in Mauritius this year... again), then do something different.

Celebrate your birthday by setting up a fundraising page for your friends and family to donate to BKIT as a way of saying "Happy Birthday" to you.

Get Sponsored to Quit!
Need extra motivation to give up smoking? Why not ask your friends and family to help you along by sponsoring you to quit - with all the money going straight to the Buwan Kothi International Trust?

Set up a Justgiving online fundraising page at www.justgiving.com/smokefree. Not only will you feel better, but you'll be helping the Trust to raise money for important projects in Haryana.

Donate Unused Foreign Currency
You can send us your unused foreign currency - coins as well as notes - and we can convert them into sterling through our arrangement with Coins Co. International. Collection envelopes are now available - please contact us for more information.

Raise Money by Searching the Internet
EveryClick is an internet search engine that donates half of its revenue to charities. By making it your home page or search engine of choice, you help the Buwan Kothi International Trust to raise funds - and it doesn't cost you or the charity a penny.

So why not pledge to persuade 10 friends to use EveryClick?
